Kalldeen is the most amazing place! The owners are so lovely and accommodating but also give you complete privacy. The property is incredible and extra amazing if you’re coming from overseas and want to experience New Zealand’s farm life on a mini scale. And the Chalet rooms are incredible! Really spacious and private and beautifully furnished and decorated. I couldn’t recommend this place more!

If 6 stars was an option, that's what I'd be rating this place. From arrival to check out, my partner and I received excellent service. Both hosts have extremely good interpersonal skills and are very welcoming. Upon arrival, we received a warm greeting, and we were promptly told that we had received a free room upgrade to one of their biggest suits; the room was outstanding and tastefully decorated with a chandelier and bar. The accommodation offers a tennis court, swimming pool, and nicely landscaped lawns, which are covered in a wide variety of fruit trees. Before leaving, Lynn and Wayne helped us to fill a bag full of plums and lemons from two of their many fruit trees. For anyone that is looking to relax and get away from the big smoke, I highly recommend this place!

Absolutely incredible place to stay, the pictures really don't do it justice it.. definitely has the wow factor. So peaceful and quiet but at the same time not far from the local towns and wineries, with a discount included at some top wineries! This is my first review of a place IV stayed but really felt I had to write this as I had such a great time, I left feeling refreshed and happy. One thing that stood out from the beginning was how genuinely nice the hosts are, Wayne and Lynn really care about your stay, there if you need them but completely respect your privacy.. thanks again for such a wonderful stay!

After forty years in the tourism industry, and having stayed at top hotels and resorts around the world, I can honestly say I have at last found affordable five star luxury accommodation right on our doorstep. ‘Kalldeen’ is simply beautiful, the location is convenient to both Napier and Hastings as well as fantastic sightseeing opportunities. We had a ball!

The accommodation offered is pure de-luxe with every amenity provided. We stayed in the Mohaka Suite and there were lots of nice touches that made our stay so special. The room was luxurious with a really comfortable bed and extra large bathroom with double shower as well as a kitchenette.

Our hosts, Wayne and Lynn were so hospitable and welcoming and looked after our every need. We were lucky enough to dine at ‘Kalldeen’ and the food prepared by Lynn was outstanding.

The grounds were beautifully maintained with a stunning in-ground pool and entertaining areas.

A true 5 star experience - Lynn and Wayne are masters of their craft!

My husband and I visited on the first opening weekend (Queen's Birthday) and you could tell the hosts Lynn and Wayne were excited to reopen and welcome you to their beautiful and luxurious property. The property sits behind a gated entrance and upon entering there is a beautiful tree lined, sweeping driveway which sets the scene for the welcome you're about to receive - Lynn and Wayne really are masters of their craft - you can tell they are passionate about Customer Service - it simply oozes from them both.

Nothing is too much trouble, you feel like old friends from the minute you arrive and the high quality finishes and little touches within the room just elevate the experience, in my eyes.

By far the best luxury accommodations in all of New Zealand! An absolute amazing location and amazing hosts. A trip to New Zealand would not be complete without a stay at Kalldeen! Thanks for all the great memories Lynn and Wayne!

We had the most amazing time at Kalldeen. We brought our six month old daughter and Lynn and Wayne went above and beyond for us - they set up a travel bed for her, brought over some new toys that were age appropriate, and even babysat for us the first night so that we could go out to dinner at the Mission Winery without the baby!!! And Wayne even dropped us off while Lynn watched our baby.

To say that they were great hosts is an understatement. They provided us with amazing recommendations for places to go, let us hang with the alpacas, and were generally just some of the nicest people I have ever met. We could not recommend this place more - the rooms are beautiful (custom chocolates, robes, etc.) and they have all the makings for an amazing breakfast in your fridge (I cooked bacon and eggs our first morning). Our room had a personal hot tub which was amazing when the temperature dropped at night.

What an amazing and relaxing get away. Lovely hosts, so accomodating. The rooms themselves are beautiful and the privacy is great. The private spa is a wonderful touch. Will definitely be returning next time I am in New Zealand

We had the pleasure of spending two nights at Kalldeen over Labour Weekend. Lynn and Wayne are amazing hosts and their attention to detail is outstanding. The accomodation is truly luxurious in the most beautiful Hawkes Bay setting. Would highly recommend for romantic getaways , wedding accomodation ,special events or just a well deserved treat .
